Owner & Head Trainer: Jen Baker

Taking the Lead K9 Training owner and head trainer, Jen Baker is a certified trainer who’s love of dogs started at a very young age when working with her father’s Boston Terrier named Lady Ashley. Jen worked with her father and Lady daily on conformation and getting her ready for the show ring. Lady received her Championship title at 12 months of age.
Jen has spent the past 20+ years working full-time in the financial industry fine tuning her business knowledge, patience, leadership, and her management skills. A good leader knows how to lead her team and be productive. These same skills translate to canine training and she knows what motivates and stimulates a dog to work.
Jen has owned and worked with several dog breeds throughout the years. In 2007 she fell in love with the Boxer Breed. Currently, she has three Boxers, with two being foster failures while volunteering with the Atlanta Boxer Rescue Organization. Diesel, one of her foster failures, was aggressive towards other dogs when she adopted him. Not knowing his background, Jen first worked with him on gaining trust. The more a dog trusts the pack leader, the less aggressive the dog will be and trust the leader in return. Once the bond and trust was developed, Jen trained him on obedience to create a well-balanced dog. You will meet Diesel at the next Obedience Group Class! Diesel’s little sister, Adaline, is actively showing in the AKC for Conformation. You can see her some weekends at the various AKC dog shows in the South East Region. She is the dark Reverse Brindle Bitch in the Boxer ring!
Jen holds a BS in Business Administration from the University of Alabama and lives in Milton, GA. She is a member of the Association of Professional Dog Trainers (APDT) and is an AKC Certified S.T.A.R. Puppy and AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator.
